5000 Series - Q. What is crossover type used in the 5000 series models?
Answer:
The 5010/5020/5040 and 5050 use a 'Modified 2nd Order' type crossing over a 2.5kHz, while the 5090 centre uses the same type, but crossing over at 2.1kHz. Crossing over lower at 2.1kHz on the 5090 centre channel is particularly beneficial for dispersion in the horizontal design of the centre speaker.
