Q Media M4 - Q. My soundbar won’t come out of standby with a Sonos Connect?
Answer:
Unlike a lot of TVs, disc players etc.
the Sonos optical output does not cease when it is in Standby. The M4 uses optical light recognition and given there is no change in state it's unable to sense when it starts to play programmed material.
