Yes, Q Active is able to play back YouTube audio in a number of ways.
- Bluetooth
-iOS - gives full control including volume control using the device buttons.
-Android - transport control, volume control using device, but independent of Q Active,
- AirPlay
-iOS - gives full control including volume control using the device buttons and on-screen via the casting icon.
- Casting
-Android - No casting to audio only devices. (This is a Google Restriction) via the YouTube or YouTube Music app, you can get audio to play by first going into Google Home, then scroll down to your Q Active loudspeakers (speaker icon), tap on it and select 'Cast my audio', set the volume to a reasonable level, then go back into YouTube or YouTube Music app and play the video you wish to listen to.
Please also note that volume and transport control are also available on screen via the Q Active App.
