Q Active - Q. How do I decide on the positioning of my Q200/Q400 loudspeakers?
Answer.
Place the Q200/Q400 loudspeakers either side of the main listening position, ideally about 2.0 – 4.0m apart. If your loudspeakers are close together it is advised that they are positioned such that the front drivers are further apart enabling the widest sound stage possible.
If you have boundary walls that are 500mm (20in) or less from the side and/or rear of the loudspeaker, there is a switch on the rear of each loudspeaker that will tailor the EQ for the chosen position. Additionally there are foam port bungs provided to reduce bass boom, but definition and bass extension may be effected.
