Q Active - Q. When listening to TV via HDMI/Optical the sound stutters/drops out in a regular pattern, but smart apps (Netflix/Prime) are not effected?
Answer:
A very small number of TV’s can alter the digital audio signal it outputs from time to time which can cause slight reductions or
cut-offs in audio when playing through Q Active.
Q Acoustics embrace a policy of continual product improvement, and so have implemented ‘special’ modes to accommodate
different or ever changing compatibility with audio sources, ensuring the best possible user experience for Q Acoustics customers.
The document attached covers how to initiate this 'special mode' via the Q Active Hub remote control.
This mode will change the way the Q Active hub deals with incoming digital audio from TV’s, allowing the signal to pass to the speakers without any corrective processes. Once enabled, the TV sound should play without any regular audio reductions or cut-offs.
Pre-requisite - Hub firmware must be at revision p14910.69.0 higher
