Q. What is the ideal crossover setting for my Q Acoustics subwoofer?
Answer:
We would suggest that the crossover should be set to between 100-120Hz
as a starting point, and then adjusted to your preference. Our advice would
be to have it set so that with your eyes closed, you are unable to
pinpoint the location of the subwoofer, and instead receive a good
overall balance of low frequencies. Trying to place the subwoofer as close to the centre of the sound stage as possible will also help with the integration.
Another useful tip is to place the subwoofer where your usual listening position would be, then walk around the room; whichever spot the subwoofer sounds best in is where the subwoofer should be placed.
