3070S - Q. Why is there a crackle noise from my 3070S Subwoofer?

Answer:

Depending on the actual equipment and cabling that is used with the 3070S, very low levels of noise can sometimes be heard from the upper driver.  In our lab, we can only hear this with a test signal and when we listen very close to the driver. Listening very close is, of course, not recommended as a loud signal could easily to damage your hearing and certainly not how the subwoofer was designed to be used. On normal programme material this noise is not audible and should in no way reduce your enjoyment.
